Spent some time this morning on DeviantArt. Just browsing. There are *so* many people out there with incredible talent! And web sites like these, they're what makes it possible for the world to realize that.

We live in such an amazing day and age; on one hand, there has been so much progress in technology, medicine, physics... On the other hand, misery, famine and violence continue. Some would say that we are victims of our ignorance. I would argue that we are victims of desensitization and apathy.

Let us enjoy the miracles that the twenty-first century has brought us, and wonder at the beauty of limitless communication... But let us remember what happens in spite of it, and each play a part in improving our world.
